Bright and Sunny in Piedmont Park

How much are you in love this birdcage veil? Such a beautiful bride! Kelly and Adam had a gorgeous hot afternoon wedding at the Clara Meer Dock with a reception following at Magnolia Hall. Her bouquet had white dahlias, skyline yellow roses, and yellow spray roses.

Pincushion Protea

Pincushion Proteas really add a POP of color and texture to these arrangements I did a few weeks ago. The orange variety really complemented the Leonidas roses, Pee Gee hydrangea, safari sunset leucodendron and red hypericum berries in the bouquets. I'm excited to use the protea again in a few weeks, but in the gold variety!

Alexa + Matt

In January I had the pleasure of making a short little trip over to Athens, Ga (my husband's alma mater) for Alexa and Matt's winter wedding. It took place at the Athens Botanical Garden Day Chapel and Conservatory and it was such a beautiful venue!
A few pictures copied from her fantastic photographer, Alea Moore's blog:

Alexa's bouquet consisted of Purple Hydrangeas, Cream purple calla lillies, pink tulips, fern fiddleheads, purple anemone, and salal greenery.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets of green hydrangea, fern fiddleheads, purple wine callas, dark pink stock, and salal greenery. Not a single rose in this wedding!

Thinking Pink

This fall has gone by fast, and pretty soon we'll be thinking spring again. If you're thinking pink for your event but don't want it too sticky sweet, here are a few mixed bouquets from Tami's wedding at the Gallery at King Plow that really stand out.

Tami carried a bouquet of light pink peonies, white cymbidium orchids, Engagement roses and Esperance roses.

The bridesmaids carried smaller bouquets of medium pink peonies, Hot Princess roses, and green cymbidium orchids with a hot pink lip.

Angie + Brian

Angie and Brian gambled with an outdoor wedding at the Clara Meer Dock at Piedmont Park in mid-November, but that gamble paid off! Despite some clouds and a few sprinkles in the morning, by afternoon we ended up with a pretty nice day. Of course a little Atlanta chill was nothing for this Ohio couple and their guests!

Angie carried a lush bouquet of pinky green hydrangea, white ranunculus, chablis spray roses, and pale pink peonies. Peonies! In November! It was quite a surprise to be able to get them from the wholesaler, and they looked absolutely beautiful. It's quite a rare find.

TWELVE delivered the wrought iron arbor, and we draped it with Magnolia garland. The whimsical pomander balls of white carnations, chablis spray roses, and white poms hung on wrought iron shepherd's crooks.

Fall Perfection!

October in Atlanta always seems to be spectacular for a wedding - the past few years it has been dry and crisp and just perfect!

Julie & Hong's wedding at The Ravinia Club was such a surprise for me, the setting was incredible - who knew that tucked away behind the Crown Plaza at Perimeter would be a beautiful Asian garden with beautiful stone walls, babbling brook, and arbored pavilion.

Julie wanted a dark rich bouquet with red in it (for Chinese good luck) so we created a hand-tied bouquet of Charlotte red roses, Burgundy hypericum berries, burgundy calla lilies, Antique hydrangeas, Safari Sunset leucodendron, and salal greenery.

The bridesmaids wore mocha colored dresses and carried bouquets of orange mokara orchids, Antique hydrangeas, deep orange roses, Safari Sunset leucodendron, red hypericum berries, and salal greenery. My favorite fall bouquets to date!
